Celebrating 100 Years of Girl Scouting!

Service Unit Meetings will resume on September 6th

Troops participating in "On-time" registration must turned in their registration forms to Joe on Sept. 6th.

Troops must be registered on-time to receive the cookie bonus this year. See "Cookie News from Carolyn" below for more information.

We're celebrating 100 years of Girl Scouting with a Family Cookout. All girls and their families are welcome to join Creekwood Service Unit in the celebration on Sunday, September 25th, from 4-8 pm, at Sharon Woods Park, picnic shelter: Cardinal Crest. Families, please bring a dish to share, non-alcoholic drinks for your family, chairs, and outdoor play equipment. The Service Unit is providing hot dogs, plates, napkins, and silverware. There is no cost to attend, but donations would be appreciated to help offset the costs to the Service Unit. For more information, contact Tracy Hiles.

The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting will be available in the council's shop in September.

The council store has a preview copy if you would like to stop by and check it out. Since the new guide is not available at this time, try starting your troop out on a Journey to begin the year. Check out the new Journey page to help you customize a journey to meet your troop's needs.

2011 Fall Product Sale

Troops will be rewarded for registering on-time and participating in the fall product sales with an additional 5 cents per box sold during the 2012 cookie sales. Carolyn will be our Service Unit's Fall Product Manager. Look for more information soon.

Do you know any girl that is interested in joining Girl Scouts this year? Parent meetings for new girls will be held on Sept. 22nd and Sept. 29th at the Princeton Community Middle School, 7-9 pm.

New Leader Orientation will be held on November 1, 2011, from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Springdale Recreation Center. All new leaders should make arrangements to attend. Please RSVP to Tracy Hiles to attend.
